Red Diamonds have no Peers

In their natural form, these are probably the rarest and most beautiful of any gemstone. The most expensive too. There are three natural diamonds over 5 carats that are properly red. Three. In the whole world. If they ever come up for sale, the cheque for each will most certainly be way bigger than the last time it was sold. At the risk of further crushing your dreams, it is believed there are probably only 20 to 30 Fancy Vivid Red diamonds in the world, very few over 2cts and most under a carat. Fancy Vivid Red is the GIA grading parlance for a proper red diamond, not a pinkish red diamond, or a brownish red diamond or even a purplish-red diamond. None of those. We are talking proper red. That red we spoke of earlier; the fiery, passionate red. I-have-never-seen-anything-like-that red.
